Accessibility
Dog Friendly Co. wants everyone to be able to shop with us, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, voice control, zoom or other assistive technology.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. Our website is partially conformant: some parts do not fully meet the standard yet, and we are working on them.
What we have worked on
- Keyboard use throughout the shop, with a visible focus outline.
- Pop-ups and menus that take focus, close with the Escape key and return you to where you were.
- Visible labels on form fields, and error messages that are announced and linked to their field.
- Text descriptions for product photos, and text colours that meet contrast requirements.
- Captions, transcripts and descriptions of what is shown for our videos, and a pause button on looping videos.
Our site was reviewed against WCAG 2.2 AA in September and October 2026, and we have been fixing the issues found. We check every change to the site against the same standard.
Known limitations
- Customer review photos: photos that customers upload with their reviews are described only as "[name] review photo". Some contain text or details that are not described. This content comes from our customers through our review provider.
- Third-party tools: some features come from other companies, such as review widgets, live chat, search suggestions and payment options. We fix what we can on our side and report the rest to the provider.
